Introducing the Intuitive Mind under the pressing Backdrop of AI<\/strong><\/strong> – updated on 18 July 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The AI Backdrop: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the Passage of Time:<\/strong><\/strong> Kamala Harris <\/strong>popularized the saying (during her visit to a school’s digital library), ‘We are here with the Passage of Time’.<\/em> If this ‘Passage’ to our modern times could be revisited as under ‘Humanities’, it may begin with Darwin\u2019s Theory. The Origin of Species was published in 1859.<\/strong> The religious and spiritual belief systems that are intrinsic with values in societies and even among nations; got further rocked with Freud’s publication of \u00a0The Interpretation of Dreams<\/a><\/em>\u00a0in 1899; followed by his further publication of The First Psychology where he presented the Mind model: the unconscious, sub-conscious, and the conscious<\/strong><\/strong> (1990). Returning to our Times and the theme ‘Schools’, one may say that these scientific models converged intellectual forces of our Times to ease out of prayers from the Morning Assembly (generally in government schools). Today, it is Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>, incrementing towards Generative AI<\/strong>; that challenges us; perhaps may reset the Education System and the way we think about Education, i.e., Teacher Centric. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Intuitive Mind:<\/strong><\/strong> While the general public is caught up in debates with AI replacing white collared jobs<\/em> (presently, in the IT sector) and on how the New Economy with AI would look like<\/strong><\/em>; including whether Machines can attain consciousness<\/strong><\/em>, we as educators overlook two key fundamentals. <\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The First is of course, g<\/em>overnment investment in AI and Data Centers for security reasons and in defense of future wars.<\/em><\/strong> <\/strong><\/strong>This view is further reinforced by America’s application of AI assisted missile warfare on Iran. (The virtue in the present geopolitical struggles being outside the Scope of this Write). It is also no longer a speculation that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine may escalate in 2027 with the application of ‘robotic vehicles’ as part of war machinery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In other words, AI and GAI are here to stay. Tech companies are also leveraging on this war scenario to fast forward GAI technology at run-away speeds. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Second Key Fundamental <\/strong>is that while AI technology has drawn heavily from Neurosciences and Cognitive Neuroscience (CNS) with the first mega successes being in Health Care and new Drugs development since 2000; there has not been any equitable investment in CNS applications for Education. <\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we see the World as caught in a Catch 22 situation<\/strong><\/strong>. On one hand we have AI, apparently dressed and modelled around CNS to the extent possible. On the other, are the wars that have caused an aberration to Public’s view (also due to Media’s lack of interest) over universal safety guidelines and regulations. The Chinese Government is well ahead in these matters without compromising on <\/strong>preparing for the ‘AI World, readiness’.<\/strong> Off late, Europe is attempting to bring in safety policies. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

While our Scope is limited to Schools and Classroom Lessons<\/strong><\/strong>, by essaying on AI, we trust some of the concerns are brushed aside as we venture to Topics that enhance children’s learning and their schooling years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Intuitive Mind<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘While the practical Brain is a loyal slave, the Intuitive Mind is a sacred gift<\/em><\/strong>‘ – Albert Einstein. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Test<\/strong>:<\/strong> In our effort to gently introduce the Intuitive Mind (i.e., without any references to CNS based Mind Modelling); we suggest our viewers to view the following as a Self Test. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What fleeted through the Mind when one first see’s just a part of the picture on the Left – the part in the Banner? <\/em><\/strong><\/span>The picture is the ‘complete’ painting by Collier’s in 1899. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answers<\/strong>:<\/strong> May be you glanced through the picture to get to this Article. Or did it momentarily suggest a ‘Pedophilic Disorder’ that was brushed aside? If so, this instinctive response is normal for our Times. <\/strong><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The distinction between instinct and intuition<\/strong><\/span> is subtle but significant<\/em>.<\/strong><\/strong> Perhaps it’s needless to get explicit about our first impressions; the reactions, the ‘gut feeling’, that we operate on. Sometimes it is crucial like while driving on the road; and driving becomes instinctual; and so also w.r.t. the picture, our responses are alloyed based on our awareness levels of the current socio-political environment. Instinct is. Yet another example is the fight or flee response; that we are familiar with. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intuition<\/strong><\/strong> is an insight far grander. Colliers painting on 1899; long after Darwin’s Theory had become famous; was the Mermaid not his expression of ‘An Age of Innocence’, then gone? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yet why is it that few experience it; and where does it come from?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To start us off<\/em>:<\/strong><\/strong> For the general reader unfamiliar with Cognitive Neuroscience (CNS); we suggest viewing the YouTube video: ‘My Stroke of Insight’ by Dr Jill Bolte Taylor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Dr Jill Taylor got a research opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: She had a massive stroke, and watched as her brain functions — motion, speech, self-awareness — shut down one by one. An astonishing story’ – TedX channel. For many of us, unfamiliar with Neuroscience, the video may be helpful while meeting patients who suffered a stroke – changing our attitude towards patients; and that by itself may be deemed as helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In conclusion:<\/strong><\/strong> While the Question , ‘what can be off-loaded to AI and what is to be reserved for Teachers’ remains unspecified one aspect surfaces. If AI can reduce the intense burnouts students face studying for their Board Exams then yes, AI is welcome in the classrooms<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em><\/strong> This frees schools to explore domains outside of STEM subjects so that students experience some levels of universal ‘connectedness’. While this view is amplified many times over in Dr Taylor’s video presentation; the challenge on how Teachers may tap on their Intuition to compliment textbook or AI driven Lesson Plans – remains the focus in the topics that follow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking principles on how young humans learn from Cognitive Neurosciences<\/strong><\/strong>, perhaps this website may serve as a template for Teachers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
